It's xbox not 360 but is backwards compatible... but there are flying sections in Star Wars Battlefront II.

I played it on the PS2 and cannot remember if there are any x wings but there are a few different Star wars ships to fly and handle quite well. I liked running through my home ship flying off to a fight, landing on an enemy ship and destroying it from inside. Think I might have to digg that one back out for a quick go.:D

They should update the old X Wing/Tie Fighter games, they were brilliant.

I'd like to see the original X-wing games redone for XBLA

On the recent Geeky Gears night out we were discussing the possibilty of the old Star Wars coin-op games making it to XBLA. All three games in one pack? Too much to hope for?
I'd give Return of the Jedi a miss though.

The most enjoyable SW game I played in recent years was a Rogue leader game on the Gamecube. That had the lot, X wings, Y wings, A wings, Falcon, Speeders etc etc, and the game and graphics were great. You got to act out the 3 (proper) films, so destroyed the original Death Star in the first level, and it culminated with you flying into the half built death star at the end to take out the reactor…

Some of the large space battles were stunning, with massive dogfights around huge cruisers, transport ships and star destroyers…..Awesome!!

I would love to see them create a 360 game using it's graphical power it would be amazing!!

AGREED

Rogue Leader was the only reason I bought a Gamecube. A beefed up 360 would be amazing.

I think its more likely we'll see the wire framed old Star Wars game on XBLA, which would be fine, but in terms of Star Wars games Rogue Leader is the Daddy. LEGO does not count, in my book its almost blasphemy :D

Rogue Leader was the reason I bought a gamecube and still have a blast on it from time to time, I don't think anything else has come close to representing the original trilogy as a game yet.

The old coin-op versions were on the second Rogue Squadron game on the GC and even though ROTJ is easily the worst of the 3 they are all really bad games imo. I wouldn't download them if they were free.
