    ...because of the Snooker?

They should have put it on at it's 'normal' time on BBC3 and then run it later in the evening for those unlucky few who don't have Digital TV. In this multi-channel age there is no excuse to can a programme for a week just because a minority sport is on TV.

I think the bbc's rule is " On Bank holiday weekends, suspend
any good programmes that are on and replace with crap"
The same happened Easter too.

Yep, it's always been the official BeeB policy to put complete kack on the telly on bank holiday weekends.

As I said in an other thread I do not know why the BBC cannot move one on to an other channel. The can do this with other programs why not snooker or 24.
One of the main things of 24 is keeping the momentum going. Having a 2 week break spoils it.

I agree completely. I'm not watching it weekly (due to the fact the BBC keep pulling it in and out the schedule) - I'm just recording it and will watch it in one big marathon in the Summer.

I missed the last 2 24's and watched one on friday night and one on saturday expecting 1 on Sunday!!! Bloody BBC!!!!! Why not put the snooker on BBC3! and then 24 would be on 2 and BBC3 today! I think that the BBC managment must be split, those that want to push Digital and those that really cant be arsed! I wonder if any stats on the number of peopple who get BBC3/4? With Sky and cable subscribers the numbers must be pretty high and freeveiw must now have more veiwer than on digital did!!!!

It's not just the BBC, see the West Wing thread, as C4 holds us in comtempt as well, so I cant see how abolishing the licence fee would help there.
I would be more than happy to watch 24 on DVD, but the chances of it coming to the end of its run before someone spoiling it for me are slim.

I read some where someone said that people should stop whinging about snooker as it is only on for a couple of weeks; the other stuff is on all year.

Most series run half a year, and 24 is on about 18 hours in total, how many hours total is given to snooker?

I read that Kylie Minogue may be in the next season of 24.
What with Alan Dale (Jim Robinson) playing the vice president
too - talk about keeping it in the family! Whoever next?
    Harold Bishop?!!!:D

Now I know what he looks like, but no conflict with me as I do not watch Neighbours. But I saw him in it on Pure 24.

Wimbledon will be with us soon, so what's the betting that 24 will go 'missing' for a month or two. :clown:

Personally I think the beeb should have a sports dedicated digital channel myself.
