I assume that no one on this forum has purchased, otherwise we would have had a report. Is this because it is not multi region?

I'm sure people are buying it. But there seems to be a general trend on the forum that people come here for advice, find out what they want and then don't really come back and share experiences unless they have problems!

Are you considering this recorder alwyn? I thought you had decided to stay with Sky+ for now? They have it in stock in a local store and it does look a good piece of kit!

AvLand offer it Multi-Region free of charge according to their website:

Hello rasczak,I think that I will hang on till 2004,and see what develops from the new dual layer disc/recorder.Philips seem confident that they will have a new r+9 recorder out early next year and I think pioneer will also.Sorry to hear you are off to Japan, your contribution to the forum will be missed.Regards alwyn
