Looking for a clio dynamique or extreme (models which have f/fogs and alloys), got to be 1.2 for insurance (and dont like dirty dervs) and must be sub £3K asking price, year 2001 - 2003 ish.

Plenty on autotrader but all sold, rung about 7 today, all sold, the ones i aint rung all have loads of owners/accident damage.

I rang one woman who said it sold within 6 hours of going live.

I thought Jan was a slow car sales month but clio's are selling like hot cakes.

Only one i have found, i went to look at and it just oozed dodgyness.

i went through the same thing, i had a strict specification and colour etc, and everyone was sold!

best thing to do is log in every day!

in a few days you will know every model of the one your looking for thats on there,
the moment a new one comes on you will notice it straight away and you can be one of the 1st to make the call!

I setup email notifcation on PH (PistonHeads) whilst waiting for an ideal 5 series to come up (which has (I hope)) and was very useful in me getting in there relatively quick. I really wanted a similar facility on AutoTrader but couldnt see any mention of it on their website! Shame as it would be a useful addition.

Luckily for me, i've never had a problem.

The first car i want is the first car i see, and in turn is the first one i buy.

Same applies to auction websites, i've sold things with a buy it now that have seriously ended in under 2 minutes.

    Some people are like hawks

Well i still haven't found any, been to a dealer to buy a car as trade and they said they stopped it a few years ago and send them to auction over 5 years old now, so going to go to the auctions with my mechanical minded uncle next week and have a nosey.

Luckily i am in no rush but prices usually go up after Feb so dont want to pay too much.

Trawl through it on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only....Most cars get put on then ready for the weekend...Might be annoying but it is a numbers game...
