The actor who played Bill Hickocks killer in Deadwood has reappeared as another totally (?) unrelated character.

This seems quite poor casting in light of him being quite a high profile character in the previous season?

    Any ideas?

Blimey you've got one hell of a memory for faces:)

Only just realised he was the same man after checking the cast listings for the two seasons but I suppose the producers/director were impressed enough with him to bring him back in a role very different (and certainly much cleaner) than the one before.

I expect english language lessons were fairly scarce in them there days, you learnt your speech patterns and vocabulary from your parents and peers and since they were more or less uneducated as well....

A interview with the writer/creator indicated that what you see/hear is pretty much an accurate portrayal of a mining town in those days and certainly Calamity Janes character is far more accurate then the usual Hollywood version.

Why isn't Deadwood being shown Sunday 31st ?
It's really annoying when they break the scheduling to show some other stuff.

I was wondering this. I know they advertised to say that the next episode was going to be shown on the 1st.

Is this a new regular slot or just a one off?

There is a two part TV movie on the Sat and Sunday (seen it already but can't remember if it was via download or on SKY before) but it does look like Deadwood has a permanant move to Monday nights from the 1st of August.

Checking SKYs own website causes a bit of confusion since they acknowledge that Deadwood has been removed from the previous Sunday listing but the replacement program is different to that listed by Digiguide and the listing for the 1st August is missing Deadwood. Probably behind on the website amendments:)

    Thanks for that.
I found it on my Sky+ planner - the series link has - Monday @ 10pm - Deadwood.
Phew ! - I thought they were skipping a week. :smashin:
