    For Live subs etc.

Or have they changed it so you can now use Switch.

In this day and age when I can buy just about anything online using my debit card isn't it about time Microsoft caught up.

We don't use credit cards anymore but I have to have one just to keep paying my live subs and for points. I know I can get scratchcards and the like but if I'm looking on marketplace and see something I like I want to by it there and then, not wait while I go get a card...

I've got my Barclays Visa debit card registered and have used that without problems to buy MS points. I did so a couple of days ago to buy 1,000 points to buy the Fallout 3 DLC so I can vouch for it working recently (although the card was first registered on my profile months and months ago)

I don't know whether they apply different rules to buying a Live sub but I can't see any reason why they would.....?

Visa debit is different to Maestro or Switch though which it what my bank issues us with.

Yes I can buy direct from my xbox but it needs to be linked to a card

I use a Visa Debit card too, no problems here. Doesn't your bank give you the choice?

It has to do with age verification.

Under 18 year olds can have Switch Maestro and Electron cards, but not credit or certain debit cards. Even tesco online have a similar policy. Would only accept my debit and not electron card when i wanted to buy something age verified.
