Denon and marantz share audessey on virtually everything but no dialogue enhancer is included on Marantz - not even the sr8012 as far as I can see.
Actually I'm assuming it's an audessey function- perhaps it's just a Denon function but it seems so very odd regardless to exclude it from Marantz.
Anyone know why or manage to achieve the same thing on Marantz via the app?
Don't let me enter 2018 not knowing ;-)

The functionality is available on the SR8012, but not as a single "one setting suits all" button. You need to use the Graphic EQ (and dialogue level) options. (There is a single button setting on the 8802).

If you use the graphic EQ you will have to switch off Audyssey. Dialogue level, just adjusts the volume level of the centre speaker.

Denon's dialogue enhancer, works with Audyssey, and increases volume in the 1khz to 3khz range. In theory, you could replicate this using the Audyssey app and a custom curve for the centre speaker.

That’s what I had surmised. It seems so weird they denied it to marantz. Was watching something last week and the dialogue was unintelligible and upping the dialogue enhancer was the only thing that remedied it (I have a 4520 and no app but was contemplating 7011, 8012).

Anyone achieved the same thing in practice with the app?
