does my router only allow me to use one dynamic dns provider? and are there other routers that allow me to use who I like?

All devices that I have come across that support DDNS will only allow one DDNS provider at a time. You don't really need more than one as most good DDNS providers have very good load balancing and geographic redundancy in their systems to ensure minimal (if any) failures.

That said, there is nothing to stop you from using a DDNS hostname from any other provider and then using their Windows/Mac clients to perform the IP/Hostname updates.
