why does a panasonic burn a full dvd-r disc but pioneer will burn to the end of disc

    when you burn a dvd-r disc on a panasonic it always leaves a cap towards the end of the disc when you look on at the writing sufface but on a pioneer dvd recorder you always get a full burnt disc write to the end
