I own a Sony STR-DB930 that i have owned and loved since 1999 but owning this unit and other sony recievers in the past have always wonderd why they operate so hot.I have my DB930 on the top of my rack so it gets full ventilation but compared to other brands the Sony's tend to run hotter,Is it just the way the amp is designed?I've never had a problem with thermal overload or the protection circuit coming on due to heat so it's probably nothing to worry about but was just wondering if anyone knew why they run hotter than most.Thank You very much and PEACE.
