I tend to be a little irritable in the mornings so try not to listen to Johnny Vaughan on Capital as he makes me feel worse :D , but he had an amusing theme running through Tuesdays mornings show.

    Why did they bother....?

He are a couple of the listeners views......

Scrappy Doo - ruined the cartoon, should have been left alone
    Basic Instinct 2 - why?!
New Hexagonal Smarties tube - the old circular ones were so much more fun when empty!

What else shouldn't they have bothered with? :D

Agreed... I used to love revels, and they've gone and put a f*cking raisin one in it. I absolutely loathe raisins. Well done, you've just lost yourself a customer

I prefered 8 to 7, although after the sheer brilliance of 1 - 6 I was left feeling deflated and wished they had left well alone. By the time Rob Grant left and Doug Naylor was writing on his own I feel the magic had all but gone.

The episodes in the first 6 Series went from strength to strength. All they needed was one final film or Xmas special to tie up the loose ends of that last episode of Series 6.

You're right, about it all. But I still laugh at some of the stuff in 7. Remember Lister's arm, the sequence with Kryton? 'Think, "Arm, pick up the ball!"' Has me in stitches even though I know what's coming.

Anyway, back to Why did they bother: Pete Doherty's parents. :D

Oh and my own "why did they bother..."

Why did they get rid of Cadbury's Wispas???

They were the most delicious thing ever known to me....then they just dissapeared off the face of the planet, and for no apparent reason!!! :(

    theres a jelly revel?
and the raisin ones have been around for yonks man, personally i wont buy a bad of sweets that i detest 2 of flavours, coffee and peanut, i could live without orange, that leaves me with maltesers and choc raisins, i can get a bag of each and get more for my money :p

as for the why did they bother? Renaming BT to just BT and not British telecom
Renaming the post office for a while to something stupid posh made up word.

Making dishwasher tablets into shapes with a red ball. It gets wet and all turns to fizz at the same time dont deny it.

Ever making money, i always imagine a life of trading goods and work

No they have not!!! I would know if they had. There used to be 5 flavours and now there are 6, the raisin is a new one.

Before they had a minstrel type thing, orange, coffee, peanut and caramel.

Anyway they have lost a customer since they had raisin ones.
