Why aren't Hisense FALD options recognised?

If the Hisense FALD options are "that good", why do they not get more recognition from reviews such as AV forums, What HiFi, etc including store specialists like Richer Sounds, SevenOaks and more?

Particularly referring to K720 and XT910 models, which appear to have great tech at great price.

Apart from individual say so on forums, I can not find any evidence to make me suggest I should definitely buy one of these TVs.

Any thoughts are appreciated

Cheers

There's a review here and 2 or more threads, what else are you looking for? The review only gave the set a 7 as it had a fault which has now been fixed by a firmware update and all the owners in their respective threads are happy with the TVs they have.

it would be nice if Steve updated its review or the score of Hisense 65XT910.
sincerely and TV does not deserve this score he deserves more than that

Hisense introduced the H10B (XT910) late in the year in a state of performance that was either unfinished or the best they could do - take your pick. I personally will be surprised if they provide much more support for this TV especially in the US since my guess is it has not sold very well here.

Ain't gonna happen IMO

I suppose it's up to Hisense to request for the theatre bug to be retested now that it's been fixed?
I don't think it was marked down because of the theatre mode bug but more because it couldn't be calibrated accurately and who knows whether that's been sorted out or not, still don't agree with the 7 score but I can't see it changing anytime soon if ever

I don't think its unreasonable that a flagship TV should be able to display content accurately as the director intended.

Whether it produces a picture that people enjoy is another matter entirely in my view (and there are of course some very happy people with 910's on here).

I get a sense that the buyers of this set are "beta testing" the software ready for the 2016 model. The fact Hisense can't or won't enable HDR etc so far seems unreasonable given how close the new models are to market and how much people have paid for a flagship set.

If the firmware never comes (I have previously noted it's not advertised on their website as HDR compatible) would you be entitled to a refund?

If you want a 4K TV on a budget this should be considered. However, the enthusiast should look elsewhere.

it was calibrated accurately andy it was just solely the bug and the gamma dip that let it down. I feel now with the bug gone, a tad more accuracy can be had out of it.

And it can conform to rec 709 standards, And im confident the hdr will be added, like the thetre mode was fixed .

The fact that Hisense are new to the uk market (in tv terms) should suggest why there is not alot of info and reviews about. its still earlly days and if they can keep up and improve on what they have the tv market will be a better place.

Feedback from professional calibrators!

I've never know a group so defensive over their TV

Ok and what was it they said, if you dont mind.

I have had a few sets in the last few months that scored wellon reviews getting 9 on reviews but they had to many issues and i know have a tv reviewed as a 7 but it produces a better picture than those tv, hows that work. A certain pro Calibrator has said alot of things and it been argued buy many a user and not to have been proved right simple as that.

Dont believe everything your told, the proof is in the pudding.

Out of interest how does the gamma track on your set? I know first hand that Hisense varies to a great degree with gamma within certain ranges, so just wondering if yours matches the review set in that regard.

mine tracked pretty flat all the way, average of 2.35, but my panny player has gamma ajustment and i used that to get it to 2.25.

Interesting. Perhaps worth offering your set for an updated review.;) As it sounds like the one sent for review wasn't that great, with green tinges and ramped up gamma.
Does anyone own one with similar green tinges? Just curious.

Not me :) The review sample is the only one I've heard with a tint issue..

I cant even seem to find that model (xt910) in the UK?

A search will show that there was a review of the 65XT910 on these very forums in December 2015.

Probably can't find them as they are not current models by quite some time.
