Who's up for a spot of Colin McRae DiRT this weekend?

Mentioned it last night while playing GoW and there seemed to be at least 3 or 4 that were up for it. As we can obviously have up to 100 in the lobby thought it was worth seeingwho would be up for a few games?

Was thinking maybe sunday evening(UK time) would be a good time to arrange a few games. Pop a reply if you're up for playing and comment on what time would suit best, will try and arrange a time that seems to suit most people that want to play(I'm pretty felxible anyway).

Only things are:

1. I'm unable to host with my half meg connection so that duty will have to go to someone else(although I'm not even sure if it matters with this game?).

2. My friends list is full so anyone who pops their name down that isn't on my FL already I won't be able to invite, hopefully one of the other players have room for adding though. Will pop a list beforehand of the players I don't have on my list in the hope someone else can add & invite them.

I'm in, 8pm onwards should be fine.

DiRT is server based, so by 'hosting' you're just creating a room on a server (you have no control after that bar inviting others). Connection doesn't matter, as long as you don't get disconnected .

My friends list is full too, so any newcomers - sorry, can't help ya!

Well Spinke mentioned after 8pm(UK time) which would work well for me. Maybe aim for around 8:30pm, at least with this game it isn't too important if people turn up for a specific time. As long as we know who wants to play we can just pop invites out as they sign in

Will be good if we can get something like 10+ or better still 20+ players in, would make for some good private races then without the need to play with randoms included.

Yeah, fair comment. I'll be trying to sell mine aswell once I've got the last two achievements(own all cars and driven 1000 miles). Trouble is it's almost impossible to sell original games out here as everyone buys pirate

If I can sell DiRT then Sega Rally will go on preorder(been wanting that game for months!).

Anyone else up for playing then? Think we'll go for a Sunday evening 9pm(UK) start as that seems the best all round time for everyone.

not me, bought both dirt and call of juarez for £30 each from currys, just took them to a shop local to me and got £20 for each one so i swapped the 2 games for bioshock.

Hey guys thanks for the races, I've only just discovered the online part tonight, it's great isn't it! I'm still hopeless as I've no idea of tracks, cars or anything yet, only started playing the game yesterday properly. Definately up for more of this though! & next time I might not be the runt of the group spitting out your lots dirt!

Was good to have you join matey, knew you'd only been playing a day or two but it was only for fun anyway.

Yeah, i literally just changed it, ive been using a freebie account and it just ran out so iv had to bite the bullet and pay for a proper subscription, i was signed in before as WHIT0.

Some good close races tonite, if we could maybe get a few more i think itd be even better.

Just a shame you cant chat in private rooms

Yeah, I'd be up for playing some more, is a great game and does get pretty tense online, more than once I crashed on the last corner due to pressure of being in first place

You can chat individually, you just click on the player you wish to chat to in the lobby and the chat will stay open until you select another player. I was in the private chat channel with Spinke earlier though so couldn't speak with anyone else this time. Is a shame you can't just chat with everyone when it's friends only games though, can't understand why it isn't an option
