    Friend has just got a Tivo, and would like to know if this set up will work for him:

    DVDplayer->Freeview aux->Tivo in->TV RGB Socket.

    All devices are RGB outputting.

    He only has one SCART socket RGB on the TV, and would like to be able to play DVDs through the TV using RGB. Will this let him do that? Will Tivo automatically pass the signal through when you switch on/start playing a DVD?

    You don't need to chain the DVD player through the freeview box - if you did, then Tivo wouldn't be able to record from the freeview box whilst a dvd was playing.
    Plug the freeview box into the aux scart input on Tivo. Plug the DVD player into Tivo's video scart socket - this has full RGB passthrough. To watch a DVD press the video button on the Tivo remote.

    Jon.
