I would prefer to pick components from a decent selection, and have a PC built by a good company, than try and do it myself - although I haven't ruled self build out.

Question is, who to buy from?

I've been looking at the customizable Scan 3XS systems. I know a lot of people here have bought individual components from them, but I'm not sure if anyone has specified an individual system.

Can anyone recommend some good places for me (preferably with sited that allow a selection of components).

    Thanks

I buy my bits and pieces from Overclock.co.uk and if I don't feel like building the thing myself may them to do it for me, you can choose whether to have them build it all or just the fiddly bits.

Thanks. Looking at their website, but can't see details on them building it for you. Is there a flat fee for them building it, or do they make enough from the fact they're selling you all of the components, rather than a few?

It's not obvious where to find their 'build' services .. they're here.

    Two other alternatives for you:

www.chillblast.com will do builds based on your choice of components for £35.

Also, my long time system builder, Armari are a great choice if you want an off the shelf system with warranty, but with an extremely wide range of components to choose from. Take a look at www.armari.com, choose a system and them look for the customise option near the bottom of the page.
