Who uses GHWT drums for Rock Band?

As the title says it all really I'll explain. I bought myself Rock Band 2 yesterday as I already own GHWT.

I got it home and tried to play it using the GH guitar. No problems everything works fine. Tried the drums and it was crap. You had drums making symbol sounds and vice versa. Its all over the place and very confusing!! I know on RB you can change the type of drum kit in the game (trashy, standard, electronic etc) but I could not find the suitable combination.

Has anyone got any tips to sort the drums out or I will have to play RB2 strictly guitar only.

Cheers in advance lads

I ppresume your talking about freestyle mode and fills?

If thats the case then RB2 will detect GH drums the same as it would RB1 drums. i.e red is snare, yellow is a tom (even though it appears on your kit as a cymbal) blue is tom and green is crash (even though it appears on your kit as a pad)

short of playing around with the kits in freestyle (and even then I dont think you can get one set how you will want it but i beleive there are a couple which will make the yello hi-hat) theres nothing you can do apart from of course by a new drum set. I recommend the IONs:D

I do and I find it OK. Most songs map OK, apparently a few aren't quite as good (Everlong?) and are harder as you get up to expert. This has been discussed a couple of times before, so search this and the GH sub-forum.

What kit set up do you use Mark? Standard, trashy etc?

Errrm, I didn't specifically change anything - so standard I guess. When I talk about the mappings I'm referring to the charted sections of the songs (not the fills). The most annoying thing is that the splash tends to be on a pad and not on the right-hand symbol ;)

I use a GHWT kit, and I wouldn't switch to a RB1 kit. No chance. I have played the RB1 kit extensively since Rock Band came out, but, I prefer my GHWT set. I remove the Orange cymbal when using it on RB to minimise confusion, and I have no problems when I'm at a friends and have to use a stock RB kit. I also prefer how the kick pedal works. Despite its flimsyness I find it easier to do quick double hits than the RB pedal as less movement is required.

The yellow cymbal makes a hi-hat sound during fills and freestyle on Rock Band 2 (not 1), and has done since there was a title update on Xbox live a month or two ago.
