For all that want to know the origin of plasma panel for specific model:
The Chuckle Brothers made my Daewoo Plasma
Orion for you, my friend
oh pidlle sticks
just shows that you don't always get what you pay for.
also well old and not entirely correct....Whop made the 35" JVC????? etc its not bad but its not fully comprehensive. Philips info is missing as is Yamaha and B&O
Panasonic supplies B&O with all panels.
PHP (Hitachi) supplies Philips with 37" and 42" (ALiS 1024i) panels.
NEC supplies Philips with 50" 768p panels.
Samsung supplies Philips with 480p panels.
Yamaha is supplied by Panasonic.
And finally NEC supplies JVC with 35" panels.
the current yamaha plasma carries an alis panel, thus it is not panasonic anymore.
I do admit that the picture is from december 2004 Smartguide magazine. If you have any new information just give it to us .
Doesn't seem to factor in warranty and support.
Fujitsu Generals are more expensive because of warranty levels and support.
Even though the glass is Panasonic, the processing unit is made by Fujitsu and is at another level e.g. better picture quality and no screen retention.
I think the same is true for B&O, but the extra premium for B&O is a lot more than that for Fujitsu General.
FHP (Fujitsu Hitachi Plasma) now almost wholly owned by Hitachi, and NEC supplied B&O with 50" panels for US markets (not beovision 4)
