I have ordered from Future Entertainment and had it the next day several times (although they need to have it in stock for that to happen, I have waited up to 5 weeks from them). Normally 24 -48 hours though so no overall complaints.

Play normally take about 3-4 days to reach me although some others here have reported a quicker service.

It all depends on if it is in stock or not. Try ringing them first to see if they have it handy and tell them is for a birthday or something.

I used to have DVD's FedEx'd in from the US and they used to arrive next day (if you ordered 1st thing in the morning). Cost a lot extra though so we used to buy in batches and get about 10 shipped at the same time.

    Hope this helps.

    They're a bit expensive though, aren't they?
Usually, Cd-Wow deliver within 3 days but, as with most
retailers, it depends on our unreliable postal service.
As has already been said, if you want quick delivery and
are prepared to pay a bit more, go Fed-Ex.

Movietyme.com usually very good, with 2-3 days if not quicker.

    Re: dvdslimited

The question was, who is the fastest - and next day is usually faster than 3, or 2-3 days......

Plus, they source from US, not Canada, so none of those nasty bilingual covers. Their customer service is (in my experience) faultless.

I don't claim them to be cheapest, nor are they the only firm that offers pretty reliable next day service, but you can't really improve on 'next day' (except by buying over the counter somewhere).

    Play.com

I ordered "Die Another Day" R1 on Friday afternoon and it was here this morning (Monday)

So is that 1 day, 2 days or 3 days?

Dunno, but it was unusually quick for Play. Bilingual cover perchance?

No, all English, I've just checked.

It has a cardboard outersleeve, not a word of French on it.

So perhaps I was just lucky?

In fact I've just looked closer. On the DVD its English with DD5.1 EX and DTS 5.1 Surround.

In French, and Spanish you just get Stereo.

    Ha, ha, ha.

Nothing. A film mastered for PAL video runs 4% faster than one mastered for NTSC. If you need an explanation there are myriad other threads on this subject.
