I was wondering how many people have Panasonic ptae 100 that has absolutely no problems at all.

No dead pixels, now colour uniformity problems, no excessive flickering, just a perfect picture.

Please tell, and mention when you got it, how many hours use and the date on the bottom.

    Me :)

    April 2002 on the Bottom
    No dead or stuck pixels
    No Flickering of bulb
Run it in low lamp mode

Bought from discounttv and had pixel check before I collected, also was left out for me to check when I got there :)

    100% Happy with it.

Only 45 hours so far though LOL but will soon mount up as had pc on it all day today :)

Serious Sam second encounter looks the dogs on it :)

Add me to the list, at least since I got mine back from the Panasonic repair shops. No problems of any sort, a quieter main fan than before its breakdown and the much-maligned composite video input giving me a more than acceptable picture quality.

Wow that's an average of 7.1 hours a day!!

I should have my AE100 in a couple of hours time, so I guess my one has Zero hours on it . . . . not for long :D

    Best Regards

I've had my panny(March02) since April and it had the flicker for about a month and a half. Very annoying! I was hoping I wouldn't have to send it back because it had no dead pixels.
Then about 6 weeks ago the flicker stopped and it hasn't happened since. Its done about 750hrs(on average its on about 12-13hrs a day!!) so maybe it needs 200-300hrs to run in.
I have the colour uniformity problem (topleft&bottomright) but only notice it on white/black end credits so it cant be said that it ruins my enjoyment of the film. Ruins my enjoyment of the end credits though:( ;) :D

I love my panny, just look at the grin on my face!

Your question is a little confusing

'Who is 100% happy' and 'absolutely no problems at all' seem to be asking about two different things (ie. satisfaction / reliability)

It is possible to have a dead pixel and be 100% happy is it not?

Good screenshot Hex - gives an excellent idea of how the Panny looks in "non full blackout" conditions.

Thanks, although I could of paused the picture first (tivo :D ) to avoid any motion blur I didnt think at the time as I was too busy playing with my new toy :)

just waiting to get the projector mounted and the screen finished off (its getting some curtains etc and generally trimmed up) then my front room can get back to normal

Keith, what colour are those walls (ie paint name and type). I`m looking for a fairly light blue that also won`t reflect too much light. Does it do the job well (seems to from the piccies)?

Wow I`m more than 100% happy with mine, It`s better than I ever imagined it would be. I think the picture is absolutely stunning, even with Sky. An absolute bargain.

I bought it from Sound and Vision, they let me see it running 1st.

It has the date June 2002 underneath.

I purchased it on or about July 5th.

I`ve tried it with loads of settings and with my PC too I really was expecting to have to do a lot of tweaking, but it`s pretty good out of the box even on composite leads

Unfortunately I`m always looking for faults on it. It has only done about 17 hours but up to now they`ve all been stunning.

I can honestly say the worste thing about this projector is the worry I have in case it develops a fault later on, as so many others have .

I am useing it through the Pro v all the time now I purchased that at the same time although from AV sales.

I also purchased a da lite 80inch screen B type I think, for around the £240 mark from Screens direct to you.

I am 100% happy with everything up to now I feel very very lucky.

I want a decent home made ceiling mount now.......Please any ideas thanks

No dead Pixels or any other apparent problem. I am VERY HAPPY with it.
