Just done mine !!!
Nice! Where are they from?
Tesco , 2 sets cost £20 , bargain !!!
No outside power definitely need to sort that out!
Too early yet!
All mine went up last weekend.
The lights on the tree are up all year round, although one section has gone and I've not bothered to swap them over yet with the replacement set.
The icicle lights I bought last year (after Christmas) so this is the first year we've had these.
The coloured lights on the small trees, I usually put up in the windows (we didn't have the trees last year), but I think they work well in the trees.
I've kept my guttering lights up ll year round for the past 3 years (im scared of heights so easy for me to leave them up) but half of them dont work now
I live fairly high up on the side of a valley, the lights on the houses on the opposite side are getting less and less every year. Perhaps people can't afford the lecky or like me they think Christmas is bulls*it.
Grumpy !!! , I most likely won't have the time in the next few weeks ....
I bought one of those JML starburst laser light thingies
it's effective but not as bright as I was hoping, I may have to play about with the position
Yep - this will be their third Christmas up Did the big switch-on today.
No photo , no proof [emoji6]
Post pictures of your recent purchases
Kudos to you brother , now get them in this thread for all to see !!!!
Turning my lights on friday.
Not even bought a single present yet let alone lights. I don't have the time lately
Lights and general decs went up yesterday. Tree won't go up for another 10days though we have bought it and stuck it in a bucket of water outside
Well that confused the fudge out me there for a minute lol
No outside lights for us, need to sort outside power supply
Looking at one of those any photos as need to be bright enough. How far from the house?
Mine went up Sunday too @paulyoung666
None in the current house as getting power outside is hard but if we ever manage to move I'll be changing that
I feel an edit may be coming on...
But before it does, he should be thankful he doesn't live next to this guy, or I dread to think what he might say (in lights).
it comes with 5m of cable, it's bright enough to be seen OK but not like LED bright , quite effective for 2 minutes work though
Here's ours, only basic but the kids love it.
Ok, so I bought some lights and a couple of outdoor sockets and drilled some holes through my walls. I then discovered the plugs on the lights dont fit a standard outdoor socket ( the one with a waterproof flap ). What does everyone else do ? I haven't got a garage so need to take two feeds out through the walls.
I have seen this sort of thing online:DRiBOX Outdoor Waterproof Electrical Connection Box
Is this suitable? I would rather it was neatly on a wall though..
This Timeguard IP66 Rated Weathersafe Outdoor Multi Connector Box | Maplin and this : Weatherproof Box | Maplin are wall mountable.
Anyone got outdoor net lights? All of the stores around here just have strings of lights. Looking for about 5/6m x 1.5/2m for the top of a hedge, with at least a 7m cable.,Seen a few online but would prefer a recommendation as some of the reviews aren't great.
