    Hi,

For watching Sky+, DVDs and XBOX what would be the best out of these two packages?:

    PANASONIC TYST42PA50 PEDESTAL STAND - £135
PANASONIC TH42PA50 PLASMA TV (analogue tuner) - £1299
    TOTAL: £1434

    OR

(TH-42PWD7BS) - Panasonic TH-42PWD7BS Plasma Screen Silver Low Profile Stand FREE
(TY-42TM6Y) - Component SVHS Composite Dual Slot BNC +£50.00
    (TY-42TM6TB) - Scart Terminal Board +£95.18
    TOTAL: £1418

I'm not at all bothered about HD content, I reckon I'll be purchasing a new set when it becomes mainstream in a few years, although I may have an XBOX 360 before then.

This is my first plasma purchase.

I've seen the TH42PA50 and was impressed.

    Thanks for any opinions/advice.

    Ian

atm, I use a 42pe50(same, but with freeview built in as well)

I was in the same boat as u with regards to HD stuff - the sets are too expensive and there just isnt enough HD stuff to view atm

I would highly recommend it, and if u do go down that avenue, I have a pedestal stand for it that I can let go for about £100+delivery(prob around £10)
