White PSP Button Configuration?

Hi,

I already have a standard black PSP, very happy with it.
I have just taken delivery of a shiny new ceramic white one, for the wife :)

All is working ok, except that on the black one, the "cross" button is used to "enter" and the "circle" button is used for "back". Now on the white one the operation is reversed. Not a real problem but irritating when your used to quickly scrolling around the menus.

My question, is there any way to reverse the action or remap the buttons on the white one?

Thanks for any help that comes :)

There's a fix for it but it only works on 1.5 PSPs. The white ones come with 2.0. Check pspupdates.com for info on downgrading. If you updated to 2.01, you're stuck with it.

It just takes some time to get used to.

I have a white PSP and I used PSPSet to change the X and O buttons. Normally I don't mind the Japanese method of using O for yes and X for no (actually that makes more sense that way around, given that an X means negative/wrong in both cultures and the Japanese symbol we use a tick for is a "o"), but since the PSP seems to drop into the base OS for saving and reseting and stuff it gets a bit confusing when the US/EU game wants X to mean yeas and the PSP base OS wants you to use O to mean yes. I also used it to trick it into thinking it's running 2.00
