Hi,

I've got a beautiful pair of B&W CM9's in gloss black finish, and a pair of CM1's in gloss white finish for sale. They are both the S1 models. CM9s £1800 when new, think the CM1s were £550

The CM9's include the wooden base/support for each speaker (not in the pic, as I've never used them), floor spikes, and foam plugs for the rear ports, so you can place close to walls if required.

The CM9's sound amazing, and are in full working order, in very good condition, with a handful of nicks and marks. You'd be hard placed to notice any of the marks without being really close... I do mean really close!

Only selling as its time to upgrade, these speakers have been a great companion over the last few years, and I'm slightly sad to see them go... but I'm picking up some Focal Kantas very soon, which up the performance a few notches! :)

Fairly small footprint for a floorstander, with a sound that belies its small nature, and of course they have that great B&W sound.

Very well received by reviewers:

No CM9 boxes I'm afraid, will need picking up from Cheltenham.

The CM1's were bedroom speakers (swapped to Kef LS50 "wireless" to get rid of some boxes), and haven't been heavily used. Minor marks and scratches to the underside of each speaker, a small knock to the corners of one, and a tiny chip to another corner.

I've got the boxes for these, so could send. Looks like about £25 fully insured to UK addresses.

Again, very well received speakers:

Cheers,

David.

Just put an order in for the Kantas, so these need to go...

Hence another price drop - now down to £800!

... come on boys and girls, these are a great pair of speakers, and a steal at this price...

Open to non-silly offers.
I really fancy these and I waited long enough for a pair of CM10s, that don't seem very common.
You want £800 and I offer £700 cash on collection, daytime any day.
I have a 300 mile round trip from Yorkshire and need to get home by around 7pm.

I could definitely do them for £750, if you can go a little higher?

Daytime pickup no problem.

Not to worry, then. Thanks for your response.
A pair of CM10s has come up on ebay, so I'll bid on those now.
Goodluck with your sale and thanks again.

Thank you.
I currently have a pair of CM8 series 1 and love them to bits.
I tend to work on the basis that bigger is better although I'd probably be no better off with 10s than 9s or 8s.
It's a man thing, I suppose.
Yes, I'll come back to you if the 10s don't come my way.

Well the 9's have quite a lot larger midrange and bass drivers than the 8's, so improved mid-range and bass response... and the 10's have an additional woofer from the 9's, plus the detached tweeter... so marginal gains all round with 8 to 9 and 9 to 10, but if you like the B&W sound, then probably worth it.

I've had B&W speakers since I could afford relatively decent kit, and always noticed the difference when upgrading... I've finally jumped ship, to Focal, but if I could have got a demo of an 804 D3 within 50 miles it might have been different!

Hmm..
I predominantly listen to music in my large conservatory. No room in the house has such good acoustics.
I use Cambridge Audio Azur 851D DAC, Azur 651W power amps and the CM8s. There is something about the CMs that really "floats my boat".
I know the 9 and 10 design, but went over to Hull to listen in the B&W shop there (can't recall the name of the place, but he's the only dealer) and the customer service really put me off. He was too busy drinking his coffee. I went over to Superfi at Leeds, only to find the place boarded up. They'd shut it down, due to lack of sales, according to the Sony Centre next door.
Hi Fi shops sometimes deserve all they get.

The seller has agreed to my offer for his CM10s. Series 2
£1450 for those who are interested.
His photos show them as mint, so I reckon I got a good deal. Whether it was a better deal than the £700 or £750 for these CM9s is debatable.

Gloss White bookshelf CM1s @ £275 added to the thread - strangely I can only have one thread at once, so have added them to this one.

Thanks for the offer, but I believe they are worth more, so I'll decline.

Thanks for your offer, but a pair with a damaged tweeter just sold on fleabay for 200, so think they are worth more. I'll say no for now.

Final pic, bottom right corner shows the knock - its a couple of mm in size. There is a similar, but smaller mark on the opposite corner. The bottoms each have a handful of minor scratches, but they won't show up in photos. One is more visible / longer than the others. None of the scratches go all the way through the white surface, just through the lacquer that coats the unit.

So are both of the slightly damaged corners at the rear of the speaker? Thanks

There's a knock on one corner, and a 1-2mm chip on one corner... more pics now attached. sorry didn't realise I could upload additional pics after my initial 10 limit.

I've also managed to capture one of the scratches in the first pic, because the light is bright, which shows it up.

I'd say 5 years. I bought them after moving house, so definitely less than 6. As noted above, they were the bedroom kit, so only used for 30 minutes before sleeping some nights.

Any idea how much it would cost to ship the cm1s to rome, italy? If £300 all in is acceptable I'd glady take them
