Hello I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Philips 30PF9975 LCD and have just connected a Panasonic DMR E95 to the component i/p. when I select Progressive scan I can see a number of white dashes on top left of screen. They sometime creep out of the picture but slowly come back again after a minute or so.

Is this an underscan or vertical height misadjustment problem? I have found a site with Service menu codes for the display but before I start adjusting, or even entering the Service menu, I thought I'd ask here to check if I am on the right track.

    Thanks in advance

    A.

    Hi..

I would sound to me like you are seeing some of the VBI information, the area where test signals and teletext information are kept, as this will often show up at the top of the screen.

use the directional botton on the remote control to left the picture up slightly.
this will get rid of these dreaded lines.
