whistling monolith

My monolith about 18 months old has started making a high pitched whistling sound (which increases in frequency) when I turn it off. Does anyone have any thoughts on what that could be:confused:

It could be that the capacitor in the impedance matching network (zobel) at the amplifier output has become faulty, this would cause a whistling whereby the amplifier starts to oscillate a little.

I'd say it sounds like a Capacitor discharging.

Get it checked out. I've seen the mess that large Capacitors can make if they blow (see recent attached pic from work)
