I am ready to buy a 37" PW7 and just need to decide where from and what connections. All my sources are SCART RGB (DVD, Sky and Freeview) and I have no intention of upgrading any of them in the medium term.

Here are my options in ascending price order:

    Store 1 (£1700)
    Panel with SCART terminal board

    Store 2 (£1770)
Panel with no terminal board but with JS RGB>VGA

    Store 3 (£1780)
Panel with free board (choice of 5) or little extra for the HDMI board

Stores 2 and 3 have good reputations, but not heard much about store 1.

Given my video sources, Store 2 seems the best approach unless you more experienced guys know better.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

    Hi Nigel

Have you considered buying off e-bay? Probably sounds a bit risky but Crampton and Moore regularly sell brand new 37 and 42 PW7s (UK stock)there. I bought one a couple of weeks ago for £1410 (+£35 postage) and last week one went for £1370. Worth considering if you want to try and save a few £. Customer service was good and they delivered very quickly.

P.S There's one up for grabs at the moment (6 hours left) - current bid just over £1000.

Only an hour to go on e-bay and current price is still very low. Go one someone try and grab a bargain!

Yes, I was watching. I had a maximum price set in my head (£1450) and at the last moment it was exceeded. Still went for a good price £1460 (£1495 delivered) and I did consider bidding above my maximum but I suspect I would have just been drawn into a bidding frenzy.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Just bought the 37" PW7 from AV Sales (which I suspect is your Store 3). They were excellent and note that this price includes delivery. I get the feeling that there would be someone there who could help if anything went wrong or I need help with set-up.
