£50 is as far as the student budget is going to stretch (unless it's REALLY worth it, then maybe £70 at most), so what should I get?

Can I do better than an LG LV720 from Richer Sounds for £50? Ideally I'd like Nicam, Videoplus and PDC. Will be used with Pana TX28PS1 tv and Sherwood RVD6095 amp, so what interconnects will I be after?
Won't be used all that much, I'm more into DVD than the telly. I just want to be able to record Rally GB as I will be there so not able to watch it :D !

    Cheers,

    Ben

I would possibly look for a model with 2 scarts and stereo audio out also look for a higher spec S/h Panny or Sony JVC/Tosh etc unit with people buying DVD-R and Sky+ etc there will be some high spec VCRs no longer used.
