Some are british models, euro models , some have inbuild freeview ( which i dont want ). Basically what letters after the TH37 should i go for ??

All im after is connecting my DVD and Sky to the TV!!

If you're definitely after a Viera then the following codes apply:

TH-37PA50, European standard definition model without integrated digital DVB tuner.

TH-37PE50, UK specific standard definition model with integrated digital DVB tuner.

TH-37PV500, UK specific high definition model with integrated digital DVB tuner.

I've not seen European PV500 models listed by UK retailers but I guess some must be doing them. If you see an addition 'B' suffix e.g. TH-37PE50B then that denotes a UK specific model. The only other point to consider when viewing the Panasonic website is that they also make the distinction of how the TV is mounted, with the following suffixes: CAB - Floorstanding cabinet, PED - desktop pedestal, WAL - Wall mount.

that is the only difference - the freeview, so yes if you dont want freeview, euro is the only option.

Mainly the inclusion of the integrated freeview DVB tuner. The warranty situation will be different too as Panny UK will class European stock as grey imports. Probably, means Panny UK Customer Care will be more arsey with you if anything unfortunate happens.

    Pretty much.

Instead of the Viera Plasma TV range you could always opt for the Panasonic plasma panel, TH37PW7. It's just a display panel monitor as opposed to a TV but you say you already have Sky & DVD. You'd need to buy an optional connection board for it.

But JL will match any highstreet price your local shop@panasonic is a good place to start, JL give you a 5yr warranty so thats why alot of people push the price match you should also get a DVD recorder ES10 with the plasma which you could sell for £150+ if you didnt want it!!!!
