Which type of multigregion upgrade?-CONFUSED

    What would you recommend:

    1) Handset hack (Easy)
    2) Firmware (Intermediate)
    3) Onboard chipping via supplier (if this actually exists)

    Also if the handset hack or chipping is involved when upgraded via firmware,will this affect the multiregioning via any of these three methods?

    It's not normally a choice you have. The method required to upgrade usually depends on the player.

    IMO, I'd always try to get it pre-modified on purchase. That way, there is no issue as regards warranty; the retailer has to deal with it, whether the cause is the MR upgrade, or something else - no arguments or conflicts of interest.
