*Comet. I brought a Panasonic Flat 36" widescreen TV from Comet a year ago. After a couple of months the pictures colours intermittently faulted. This got worse and worse, and for the past five months I have had to live £1,900 worth of TV with dose'nt work. Anyway - after five months of phone calls, letters to the managing director of Comet, more phone calls, more letters to the...... etc etc - they have agreed to give me a refund!! Yippeeeeee!!! Had they done this five months ago, I might have gone back there to buy my next television. I'll never even walk into one of their stores again. Anyway - point of my email: Which TV should I go for? I love playing the XBox, so don't want something which is susceptible to shadows being burnt into the screen. (Am I right in thinking that this rules plasmas and rear projection tv's out?) I'm looking to pay around £1,400 - £1,900. I don't wish to 'downgrade' to anything smaller than 36". My DVD is progressive scan.. - not sure whether it's worth going for a progress scan TV..... ? Any thoughts/suggestions would be most appreciated. Also - if anyone could recommend a good reseller who offers good, honest after-sales customer service I would be grateful. I'm thinking of John Lewis at the moment - five year guarentee on everything you buy. I've also heard great reports about Cosco - ie - if you want to take something back, all they ask is if "there is anything we should know" ("yes, the pictures faulty") --> "fine - here's you money back". *All references/experiences dealing with Comet can be proved. Sessen.
