Hi Guys could someone spare some of their time re:some advice for a m8 please,

I know this is the LCD forum, " 2 are LCD and Ones a Plasma
I dont know which to recommend, they all seem to have good and bad points
anybody have an opinion (good or Bad) on These
    2 lcds and a plasma ,42" 40" and a 37"
which one would you go for and why,
    anybody got one?
Guy hasnt got Sky or cable so its mainly normal digital thats gona be viewed + DVDs

which one is going to give the best picture on ordinary digital??
37 " is £100 cheaper has good connections and is in stock at john lewis so would get price match and 5 year guarantee.

can only see the 37 " Samsung on John Lewis not the 40"

    JL have panny in stock

For his uses, primarily freeview, I'd opt for the Plasma... it's much more forgiving on poorer broadcasts imo.

In regards to those LCDs - I'm not a big fan of LCDs over 32 inches anyway. But if I had to, the Toshiba is generally regarded as one of the best around that size by people here. I don't like it personally but many do. I'd get the Samsung as I wouldn't be happy with the picture from either so I'd take the Samsung purely because it's prettier ;)

Get the panny px60: either 37" for £800 or the 42" for £900 depending on your needss. Absolute bargains at that price and way better than any LCDs at that proce (unless you want to use it for pc or games).
