Which TV!! LCD or Plasma

Standard Member
Looking for a new TV for my living room. Interested in the panasonic tx-p37x10 from John Lewis at £499 with 5 year warranty.
Would be used for SD TV, DVD and Wii. TV viewing is for all the family from cartoons to sport.
Only a small living room sitting approx. 6 - 12ft from tv at various angles.
Would this tv suit my needs? Unsure whether to go plasma or lcd, 1080p or 100Hz...... any input would be greatly appreciated.

For the size of TV and viewing distance you will not really see the benefit of a 1080p screen. Hence the 720p of the X10 will be ideal. I would always go plasma. If you have a wide range of viewing locations and angles then plasma should give you a better picture from all of them.
