I own a lot of screens, and have become really interested in getting the best out of them.

I've got a really nice professional grade monitor, a TV, MBPr and some other stuff, and want to calibrate them all.

Not looking to spend stupid money, but just keen to get the best out of what's available to me.

I've had a look on Amazon at some of the calibrators, but cannot distinguish any big differences between them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

More looking for the tool to do it rather than have it done - that way I can do it for family etc :)

You would ideally want to go on either the THX course or the ISF course to learn what you are doing & how to do it. The tools you need will depend on what results you want to get. You'll want (I'd say need) a pattern generator on top of the software, spectrophotometer and colorimeter to get good results.

A Manager in our local independent retailer said the course costs about a grand to go on,said he'd never bother with it as people don't want to spend £100s to get their tv calibrated.Mind you he also said he has a button under his desk that screws up tv's as soon as their warranty runs out:laugh:.
