I bought all the DVD sets for FOTR and most likely will for TTT, too (because I have no self control!).

Which TTT DVDs will you buy?

Wait until the 4 disc comes out. I've got plenty of films to watch anyway.

Just the 4-disk extended for me. Same as with FOTR.

If I don't like TTT (I wasn't overly impressed with FOTR on first viewing), then I'll be flogging them both

Both probably. I liked both the theatrical and extended versions of Fellowship of The Ring.

Anybody know whether the theatrical version will have DTS sound?

That's a good enough reason only to buy the Extended Version. Saw the review in DVD Review today, and the 2 disc version doesn't really look all that special, compared to the potential of the 4 disc.

    Simon,
Can you post a link for the Two Towers review as I can't
find it on the DvdReview site.
    Cheers.

www.dvdreview.net seems to be down at the moment (maybe they're updating?), but the review to which I was referring was in the actual magazine. I'm sure it will appear on the website - I'll check again later. :)

I would buy the extended version, but will it be region 1 or 2? PAL seems to give a better picture quality, but region 1 seems to have better packaging and sound mix.

But I will definately rent out the DVD until November!

R2 Gift Set for me. It's out in November, as with FOTR.
