    Hi all.

    My kit comprises of:

    Arcam a90
    Arcam p90
    Arcam DV89
    B&W N805's (Biamped)
    2 x Technics 1210 MkII
    Allen&Heath XONE 32 preamp mixer

The setup sounds incredible, I'm really pleased with it, but as it is primarily a DJ rig I feel I'm missing on one important factor...bass!

So any recommedations for a suitable sub would be greatfully received. My budget is probably no more than £500, and I would be interested in the second hand market. It has to be musical, but perhaps also accomodate a home cinema setup should I decide to go in a different direction later on.

    Cheers.

    Hi,
Go with Wharfedale SW150 ! You will not regret. For music this woofer is unbeleivble good. Very good control and good amp on it. Bass is fast and precise. Take it !

Much depends on the size of your room, the type of music that you play and the volume that you play it at.

If you have a small to medium sized room have a look at the BK XLS200 at £289 or if you have a larger room or really wish to pump up the volume you may prefer the much beefier BK Monolith.

Both are good choices for music due to their flexibility with connectivity whilst the Monolith will probably bring a huge smile to your face if you used it for movies too.

Thanks for the replies, I'm interested in the BK Monolith, will see if I can find one. My room is not massive, but big enough to warrent a hefty sub I would say!

Steve.EX what is so puzzling about a dj rig? You know, 2 turnables, vinyl, beat mixing and lots of noise...

Should you be interested in secondhand there is an M&K MX200 here http://www.cheshireaudio.co.uk/secondhand.htm for sale at £500. They might take an offer.
I have had my MX 200 for some time and am very pleased with the depth and control it provides. Worth a thought!
