    HELLO All,

i have recently purchased PIONEER VSX- 2014i and now need a sub to compliment it,,,,my budget is around £500,, any RECOMMENDATIONS :lease:
the one i have in mind are :-
    1) Jamo E-8SUB
    2) Jamo D-4SUB
    3) JBL Northridge E250P (possibility but not without opinions...)
    4) Pioneer S-W250S (250 W RMS active , but power consumption  56W read somewhere power consumption needs to match to watts rms or somewhere near...but could be wrong)
    5) KEF PSW3000
    6) MISSION VOLARE V6AS (strong contender)

I WOULD PURCHASE ON YOUR OPINIONS... as not been able to demo them..
i am not a bass junkie but like strong, clear, heavy bass would use it for movies mostly but my teen-aged brother is more into music ..so balanced one would be preferable..
help would be much appreciated... THANKS..!

For that sort of money I'd be looking at

    BK Monolith (under your budget)

    Sony SAWX900

    An SVS cylinder or box

Haven't heard any of them but they get good comments on this forum. That's not to say the others on your list aren't decent subs...PJ :)

I got a v6as, which i am pleased with an integrates pretty well with my system. I haven't heard that many other subs though.

It has a 300odd watt amp and I have mine set on about lowest possible level as otherwise it kicks me across the room (and wouldn't be integrated at those sort of volumes).

Top gun had never sounded as good :) .
