I'm still looking for a sub to go with my 6 vm1's(still looking as i still can't afford one), thought abot Rel, put off by comments can't audition an mj offering but they are cheaper but looking now at b&w asw675, i know it's more cash but i don't intend to buy again, has anyone else got one with the vm1's and how does it sound or would any of the other 600 subs be ok, iv'e got a room of 23' by 14', the 675 looks great and as i'll see it it's important. It's small to so i can tell the missus it did'nt cost loads.

Cheers, please help before i buy another duffer.

Subwoofers don't have to be voice matched with speakers so any capable subwoofer should go with any set of speakers (within reason).

The B&W A675 is more than capable as it is a highly desirable compact subwoofer that seems to have been given five stars by all magazines.

gonzo and rags have both experienced the A675 so do a search under their names and you should find positive posts.

I recently replaced my ASW 600 with the 675... Big improvement, much more control at the same output level...

I would seriously consider the MJ Acoustics Reference 100 which at £350 wouold be a reasonable price match for the VM1s. If you are looking to go for something a bit more powerful then the MJ Acoustics Reference 1 subwoofer is a lot more musical than the B&W and looks nicer too.

I would also like a 675 to go with my other 600 stuff, but am strapped for cash so am seriously considering a BK XLS200, these have been quite well reviewed on the forum and for under £300 a bargain.

    Hi folks
I also give a vote for the asw675 which is an excellent performer with both music and movies and also looks very good.
    Cheers Gonzo.

Well i was back at Carlisle this week on a course and had time to listen to a few subs with my own demo stuff, i could'nt demo the 675 but tried a few more including the Rel q50emk11, this sounded 100% better than what i have know and mutch better than the kef's etc i tried, the bass was precise and seemed to have plenty enough deapth, sounded outstanding with music too,so with 10% off and pay in 7 mths does'nt seem such a hard choice anymore, i'll be back tommorow to see if i can get a lead threw in too....;) ;) ,

Thanks for the advice lads, at the end of the day it sounded excellent so i'll have to go with whith that and my Jamo will be relegated to the attic untill i find some other obscure use for it.
