had ordered an G27 for £200, but the order got cancelled by play,

and i'm not willing to pay 270 for one

would get the G25 but cant it for sale anywhere?

so other than the Logitech GT anything else any good?

dont like the last one as it dont have proper paddles like g25/g27

Your only other option for a decent wheel is a Fanatec.
But this would be more than a G27
The G25 was discontinued some time ago and was replaced by the G27.
Your only choice for a G25 will be a used one.
Otherwise you will have to bite the bullet and get a G27.
(Stock wise they are pretty low everywhere)
you best be is to keep trying the Logitech UK site and buy directly from there
About £249 the last time i looked.

Also I think you get 9% with quidco - so works out about £227ish

I've ordered the G27 from Amazon.co.uk and expected delivery time is 1-2 months. Was really looking forward to getting it for xmas along with GT5 and the Wheelstandpro. ;-(

You have 2 options unfortunately
Wait 2 months for a wheel
Pay over the odds to get one now.

Supply & demand i am afraid.
Since F1 2010 came out wheel prices have been climbing
Hell people were selling M$ wheels that were £60 from Argos for £150 and people were buying them.
I know someone who bought 10 of them a few weeks before F1 2010 was released and sold them all for £150 each.
Then with GT5 finally released PS3 wheels have become in short supply eveywhere
The Logitech DFGT went from £80 to £100 overnight.(If you can actually find one in stock anywhere)
Second hand G25's are fetching £150+
A new G27 £300+
If people want them they will pay for them.

Also note there will be a new wheel available some time in the near future and will become the new official wheel for GT5 (guess they chopped their deal with Logitech).

Thrustmaster T500RS – The New Official GT5 Steering Wheel?

According to K Yamamuchi it will be pedals, and paddle shift wheel for a price around $500 and a sequential shifter available seperately. This wheel could be really good so might be worth waiting a while rather than forking out for an overpriced G27 at the moment. You can read more about it on the GTPlanet forums.

Well I've just cancelled my order for the G27 in anticipation of the new wheel. I've already got a G25 to use in the meantime so it's not too big an issue. Just means my son will have to stick with the pad for now. :rotfl:

If you trade ANY old logitech product you get a 20% discount voucher for order over £49. I traded an old mouse, and with Quidco paid less than £180 for the G27. Stock is arriving in 7-10 days according to Logitech but my order is in anyway. I may be tempted to sell it on eBay, as the prices people are paying are ridiculous!
