    Hi,
I've just purchased a set of Acoustic Energy Evo 3 (£230 best price I found in the UK, from Sevenoaks Audio & Vision).
The sound amazing, and I will shortly be getting the Evo 1 pair for rears. I'm therefore looking for 500mm stands in Graphite or black and preferably mass-loaded.
Any suggestions? If it helps, I'm running on a Graphite-Pillar, Smoked Glass Target Audio Stand.
Looking in the Sub £100 mark.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Dan :lease:

Atacama Nexus 5 - I think these are 50cm, on the basis that the Nexus 6 are 60cm!

Thanks. Nice stands. Not sure about the curved base, but I know these would be good.
Top of my list so far.

    http://www.acton-gate-audio.co.uk/
press button 2 at the top and the deal appears!

£50 **Inclusive* of P&P! That's saved me at least about £30/£40!!

    Made my day that has.

    Well,
Recieved my stands and they're great. Rock solid, classy appearance and spikes all round (Conical type on base, isolation-coned screws on top-plate).

Sandbags included inside make for a very sturdy stand.

Happy with product, happy with price

    Dan.

    Hi Marv,

Ended up going with the Alphason AG50's in Black (Stands are Matt-Black, not gloss). Am Happy with the stands.

Purchased from Acton-Gate who were fine service-wise as recieved the item quickly.

I have to wait til month end to be able to buy the rear speakers, so the stands look a little out of place at the moment til they have the Evo 1's on top.

The stands have a neat cable-tidy run going through them which will keep everything looking a little neater too.

Got to say, they're £50 very well spent.

Are you looking around yourself for stands then?

    Dan

I have Alphason AG50's, part of the Aragon series.

Used to have a set of Mission 700's on the Alphason Akros <?> stands and though the stand bases were pretty tacky and cheap plastic-feeling.

People seem to say good things about the Atacama Nexus stands and I can vouch for the Alphason AG series as being solid, well-constructed, classy and also being well ballasted.

Good luck, remember - Tweeters should be at ear-level if possible
