Guys
I will be moving house shortly and will need to downsize my current home cinema. Can't use my speakers as they are too big.

I'm am looking for suggestions for speakers (something subtle on wall on in wall and not floor standers or stand mounts). I won't be playing at very loud levels due to neighbours but still want decent quality.

Amy suggestions? Would prefer to buy second hand to save cost but can look to get new ones if necessary. Budget wise could spend about £500 per speaker maybe abit more if necessary but the cheaper the better!

I know bose are hated in these forums but has anyone come across the bose virtually invisible 891 in-wall speakers? Any thoughts ? Only came across those today after searching "best on wall speakers".

I have seen KEF reference ci2000 in wall for sale but they are rather old so want sure about them.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks for this, appreciated. Most likely on walls but not certain yet. What would be your recommendations out of the above? I like the dali opticon.

Someone is selling the monitor shadow. Are they any good? I currently have the monitor audio PL200 and the Plc350 with xtz s5 surrounds.

I had to check calendar that it wasn´t aprils fool day. You are seriously downgrading then. It could be quite a shock coming from +6000£/pair main speakers to cheaper ones. Sadly i don´t have experience with these exact models, just wanted to throw some popular options within your budget. I wouldn´t ever buy anything without listening. I hope you won´t either!

Monitor Audio Shadow = Ultra thin speakers. Always compromise in some way.

Opticon LCR should be definitely on your demo list - Dali is always intresting choice! There is also higher serie Rubicon LCR in different finishes, but the price jumps some.

MK Sound MP950 is likely quite different sounding than Dalis and some others. Known from (quote) non coloured sound - no added warmth / sound characteristics. Neutral, revealing, natural sounding. There is also in-wall version IW950 if you decide to go with that route. @Rob Sinden can probably tell you if there is dealer near you (Stoke on Trent) who gives audition of MK speakers.
