    Hi all,

I'm wondering which speakers to buy for under £200. I have a yamaha AV receiver which allows me to do 6.1

I was looking at the yammy NSP 106 speaker package, but I was wondering if anyone else has any thoughts about what I could better spend my money on, 6.1 is not essential, 5.1 would do.

    Many thanks
    Nick

Go for 5.0 at this stage.

Get 4 x bookshelf speakers eg. Mission or Kef or MA Bronze, etc. Plus a matching centre. Then save up a bit and get a better midrange sub later.

A 5.1 setup for £200 will have a crap sub and poor speakers, usually sounding flat and harsh.
