    Hi,

I have a Hauppauge PVR350 and currently i want to know if WinTV or any other PVR350 compatible software can be scheduled and record silently in the background!

I want this method so i dont have any overlay conflicts.

    Thanks in advance

    You mean something like this?

    http://wintvcap.sourceforge.net/

Have a look here, under WinTV-PVR350 -> Third party software for more info (do a search on WinTVCap or so...)

    regards,
    Bert

yes, programs like that i think!

As long as they can record silently, and not use the Overlay!!!

Because i need to use the Overlay with the dvb-t card. And if i run both at the same time , i will have overlay conflicts...

    Any other suggestions?

When running 2 different cards ie PVR350 and a dvb-t card, each of them require the use of the overlay, and thus you end up with overlay conflicts!

So in an effort to eliminate the conflict, i believe you can set the software to record silently in the background, without it utilising the overlay, and subsequently no conflicts.

Naturally you can only watch one program at a time.

I hope this clears it up. :D

    Hi,

Im not running two tuner cards, but I know GBPVR is entirely capable of this.

Give it a look - IMHO the best PVR/media centre software out there (if your willing to tinker a little bit!)
