I am about to take delivery of a Pioneer PDP 505XDE screen.

I will be getting a sky HD box when they come out, but in the meantime what will be the difference of feeding in a Sky plus box, and just a normal sky box (I realise I will only get DD sound from the sky plus box), but does sky plus box offer better image connections ? (In which case I might get hold of one for the next few months)

    Thanks everyone

AFAIK, the picture quality from a Sky+ should be the same as a standard box (unless, of course, you get an Amstrad + box in which case you may get the banding problem!)

Sky+ has Optical Audio output which the normal one (at least my normal one) doesn't have. So if you are connecting to a surround sound system you can connect your audio into the ss amp and the video, via the standard Scart connector, to the Plasma.

    Better sound, same picture.
