    Hi all. :)

I'd like to replace my aging Pace Sky Digibox, as I have heard other (more recent) models give better picture and faster navigation.

There is quite a wide choice available from eBay, I would appreciate any advice on which one to go for. ;)

    - Panasonic (DSB30 / DSB40 / DSB50)
    - Sony (VTX-S750U / Sony VTX-S760U)
    - Thomson
    - Grundig
    ....

    Thanks in advance. :smashin:

You can't go far wrong with the latest PACE or Panasonic models and the Thomson models are still quite new so the jury is still out.

The SONY models ceased production years ago and the Grundig followed them into limbo last year (replaced by Thomson).

As to better picture quality from one STB or another, a little too subjective as the installation and TV will have more of a influence than any differences in STB hardware.

    Thanks, Starburst. :)

So, if I understand you, there's no much point in getting another box, as my main goal was/is to get a better image.

Depending upon the age of your current digibox you could see a dramatic improvment in the menu/epg speeds making the whole SKY experience more user friendly.
As for picture quality, perhaps try a friends newer STB on your setup and see what you think, if it looks better buy that model.
For every person why buys a new digibox and says it gives a better picture there is another one who preferred the previous digibox output:)
