I´m looking for an alternative for my HTPC.

I ordered a Momitsu v880n and since even my wife said that the picture from the Momitsu was noticaple worse compararing to the picture from my HTPC, it seems that Momitsu is not a way to go, at least not for me :thumbsdow

So the next obvious canditate is a scaler, which should be able to do 1440 x 864 @ 75 Hz for my PAL DVD´s.

Two most obvious canditates for the scaler here in Finland are the Crystalio VPS 2300 and the iSCAN HD+.

Since the iSCAN HD+ is under the half of the price of Crystalio, I would like to believe that it is good enought for my Barco D 808 s.

But is this the case, or m´I just fooling myself and I should get instead of it the Crystalio, or perhaps something else

So tell me what do you think :smashin:

Lumagen HDP will do what you want as well.....it would be remiss of me not to mention it.

If PAL performance is important to you, go with the Crystalio. The others have not yet reached it's ability on PAL and video deinterlacing/detecting.

Or go for the Cinemateq which is excellent with PAL and half the price of the Crystalio.
