Which satellites

Probably been asked before but cannot see any replies. I can currently get 28.2e and 19.2e using a 60cm dish with a sky lnb. How come i get nothing on 20.0e Arabsat, 21.6e Eutelsat,23.5 Astra and 25.5 Eutelsat. Am making the assumption has all to do with shape of the dish and the fact the lnb must be a bit offset.

Forget all but a few transponders at 23.5e. You need a much bigger dish, and as for 25.5e?...im still waiting to read if anyone with any size dish can pick up anything meaningful up from that bird.

Presumably we are talking about a motorised dish here?

Google dish sizes for an idea of what you can get with what dish size [with a dish aimed at each satellite or what to expect/ factor in, if it's a multi lnb setup (each satellite requires their own lnb in multi lnb setups, unless they are very close together eg 9e & 10e ... 52e 52.5e 53e 4w 5w etc..).

You can receive up to 200 channels from 23.5e on a fixed dish aimed at 23.5e or on a motorosed dish- but it's a bit close for multi lnbs if you have 28.2e & 19.2e @ 60cm, unless you use very narrow lnbs etc.. ... you might get some on 21.6e @ 60cm - 20e is c band so needs a different lnb & generally much bigger dish & a lot of us like Dbcoup, would love 25.5e [well the beam beIN sports is on] but it is a tighter beam over the Middle East. There is an easy Euro beam on 25.5e that you can get when it's in use.

If it's motorised though, you can get maybe 40-50 satellites & +10,000 channels nowadays, if you have a clear view.

The ones in bold are easier but I've had sats like 26e 7.3w 8w on as low as 60cm & a few can have stronger feeds

East Limit 76.5e 74e 72e ....... 70.5e 68.5e 66e 62e 60e 57e 53e-52.5e 52e 50e 47.5e 46e 45e 42e 39e 36e 33e 31.5e 30.8e inc 28.2/5e 26e 25.5e 23.5e* 21.6e 19.2e 16e 13e 10e 9e 7e 4.8e 3e
0.8-1w* 3w
4w 5w 7w 7.3w 8w 11w 12.5w 14w 15w 18w 22w 24.5w 27.5w 30w 31.5w 33w 34.5w 37.5w 45w 47w 50w 58w 61w......... 75w West Limit [85w Ireland]

Also check out sites like Flysat for what channels are on what satellite & beam - the beam's footprint maps are linked to on the right.
