Which sata hard drive (250-500gb ish)

Hi, I'm guessing this is quite a boring topic but I can't find much after searching .

I'm looking for new hard drive to replace the failed 80gb seagate.

It will be the only drive in the computer so will be used for windows as well as programs and mp3s office documents etc.

The mother board has sata but not sataII.

I'm not to keen on spending loads on 1tb hard drives as the last 2 hard drives only lasted just over 2 years each.

Also I would prefer to avoid seagate due to both failed drives being theirs.

Thank you
Andy

Have a look at the Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB. Good quality at a great price in my opinion with a three year warranty.

... and don't worry about this drive being SATA 2 because it's backward compatible and will work fine on SATA 1.
