Which PVR for best picture quality?

The divided opinions between Humax and Topfield seem mainly to be based on features. But which one gives the best picture quality?

I don't think you'll find much in it; certainly that's the view from those who have had both boxes. They're based on the same chipset, after all.

It may depend on connections - for example, if you have a TV that performs best via its component input, then use a Toppy, since the Humax doesn't have component output.

Yes, but worth it IMO.

I've had both and it's too close to call, both to TV via expensive QED Qunex scarts, neither daisy chained, each having own scart, both RGB in.
