Can anyone advise on which PS2 chip is the best for value for money and performance, I have two consoles to install them to. I have looked at the Magic 3.1 as opposed to the Messiah because of rumours of a batch problem that damages the consol after about a week. Any thought and advice would be greatly received.

    Mark:)

    Yes you may! :)

DMS3 is flash upgradeable. It also tends to be more reliable, less wires (don't quote me) and also allows you to run software from a memory card. It is superior to the other two as far as I know. Granted it is a little more expensive, though.

It also doesn't suffer compatibility issues with the new V9 PS2s that some other chips suffer.

I'm newish to this but I'm fairly sure this information is correct.
