    Usage?
    Mounting position?
    Throw distance / screen size?

All would be useful to know. In any case the answer is the quietest one.

    hey,
usage would be for mostly dvds, big sports events, and maybe some ps2. i will probably be mounted to the roof, about 4.5 metres from projection wall,
the projection size would be roughly 2m by 1.5.just projecting onta a wall to start with, maybe buying a screen later on. the pb6110 is $1300(australian) and the 5120 is $1500(australian). im just wondering if there is much difference between them like $200
    thanx

If I'm not mistaken the 5120 is more suited to home cinema use because it has a widerscreen aspect ratio, the 6110 is probably more aimed at the business/presentation market because it is native 4:3 aspect ratio. Hence based on your usage requirements the 5120 would probably be more suited..PJ

The 5120 also has a 5 segment colour wheel to help reduce dithering artifacts, assist with black levels and may help with the rainbow effect.

Re; rainbow effect. The 5120 is not too bad with RE and I only notice it occasionally. It doesn't reduce the RE any more than my mates 4805 at twice the price (It was twice the price of the 5120 when he bought it. Significally reduced now).
IMO, the 5120 is a great little starter PJ.

Sorry, I was referring to the 5120 compared to the 6110. The 4805 uses a six segment, four speed colour wheel which should reduce the rainbow effect to virtually non-existent for all but the unluckiest people.

The 5120 is a great PJ for the price it is sold these days.

The only issue is RE. If you don't see it then you are lucky.

I demoed it a while back along with an Epson TW10H. I settled for the epson because the RE on the Benq5120 was too much for me unfortunately.

I see rainbows on even 5x DLP units costing thousands.
